Hello readers. We had a great Fun Day on March 20th. Members from ANAVETS #, #303 & #283 attended. Ken supplied Sheppard
Pie which was a great hit. I wonder that if you named your top 5 favourite meals if hamburger and potatoes in some fashion isn't on it. Easter Dinner
has been changed to April 29th. Tickets are going well with members paying $10 and non-members paying $15. Thanks to Marge Suddick for
volunteering to be the Dinner co-ordinator. Visits to #283 in May & #303 in June are planned with the exact date to follow. The annual corn roast
in September is in the planning stage. A smaller number of our members are in our whist club which is having its annual wind-up on Monday May 7th at
1 PM. Congrats to our Ellert Thorlakson and Marge Romantic on winning the Moir simm Memorial Trophy at the cribbage wind-up on the 21st of April.
Joyce Warner and Bud Dibley used their lucky horseshoes and won the March $25 and April $25 meeting draws respectively.
Ann Kumka, our Eveready Bunny, celebrated her 97th birthday on April 29th. Violet and
Ed Wall just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on April 11th. Georgina and Bud Dibley will celebrate 59 years of wedded bliss on
June 26th. Congratulations to you all.
