President's Report
January 2012
I hope that everyone had a very nice Christmas and an enjoyable and safe New Years Celebration. I wish everyone the very best for 2012.
Winter
doesn't seem to have found us yet but I am sure by the time you read this it will have. Everyone enjoy what's left of the winter and don't forget to participate
in all the events being held in your branch. Senior pool players are well under way and seem to be having a great time. All of the other winter sports
also well under way including the branch play-downs leading to the Provincial and National Championships. Dominion Executive Coucil (DEC) have cancelled the
National Curling, so there will only be Provincial Play-downs in the Regular curling, the same as the Senior curling. I hope this isn't the trend for the other
Legion sports events but it is getting harded and harder for branches and individuals to afford to participate.
We are still short two members for the Brtanch
Executive, so if you're interested in helping out in the operation of branch activities please attend the February General Meeting and let your name stand for office.
All committees are also looking for help so if you are able to assist please contact the office.
I would like to thank the members of the Ladies Auxiliary and Over
55 Club and I wish you both a most successful year.
The very best wishes to all of our shut-in friends and a quick and complete recovery to all of our ill members.
Remember participate in your branch activities and help make your branch a successful enterprise.
I would like to welcome our new branch manager, Ken Collins
and wish him all the best.
